The Daffodil Project is a living memorial for the 1.5 million children who died in the Holocaust; it also supports children who continue to suffer in humanitarian crises and genocides around the world today. The daffodil project started in Atlanta, Georgia, and they have planted over 600,000 daffodils in over 230 locations. The daffodil was specifically chosen as the flower to plant for several reasons. The color yellow represents remembrance, and the shape of the daffodils represents the yellow stars that Jews were forced to wear during the Holocaust. The flower also represents resilience with a returning burst of color each spring. The Daffodil Project honors the memory and the lives of those who perished, honors survivors, and reminds us to stand up for those suffering worldwide today. The daffodil project team also promotes Kids for Kids, raising South Sudan, Atlanta holocaust survivor fund, and Agahozo Shalom Youth Village.

Ashley Hall has been participating in this project for 3 years because it is a great way to honor and remember children worldwide who have suffered and continue to suffer.
