Do you feel like you've tried every study habit out there and nothing is working for you? Don’t be discouraged; here are 4 different study tips that could work for you!

First up: don't try to cram all of your studying into one night. It can be hard not to procrastinate on studying, but it's much more beneficial to study over a longer period of time. Try to get 25-30 minutes of studying in each night for a week or two before your test. This will make the studying process overall less stressful for you.

Another helpful tip is to make flashcards. If there's information that you just can't remember, write the terms down on flashcards and study them that way. You don't need to write down what you've already memorized, just the things you can't remember. This way you've narrowed down your information so that you're only studying what you still need to work on. You can also make a digital set of flashcards using Quizlet.

Next up, try to minimize your distractions as much as possible. It is important to stay focused while studying. Find a quiet place where you won't become distracted by any noise. Powering off your phone or putting it in another room is also beneficial, as phones can be a big distraction while studying. For some, listening to calming music can also help to increase focus.

Studying with friends or a study group can also be helpful. If you have friends taking the same test, organize a time when you can study together. Group studies can be very beneficial, as you can ask questions and help each other out.

The next time you know you have a test coming up, try these tips to see what works best for you!
